Dexter by Design (2009) is the fourth book in the adventures of Dexter Morgan, serial murderer better known for the television series Dexter, a few weeks ago ended its fifth season .
did not know quite what to expect from these texts, because the books that True Blood is based represented a disappointment for me, especially the ultra translation Peninsularized that really made me think "hell, but what a crap!" Not only that, but the series proved to be superior to the books, and I feared that this situation was repeated Dexter. Big mistake.
Dexter by design is one of the books with more black humor, suspense and excitement that I read in a long time, and where Jeff Lindsay puts our hero hanging wire, while avoiding an attack on his sister, be pursued by another serial murderer, and the growing suspicions of co-workers and even the FBI.
As in the series, the story is told in first person, to know the twisted humor and personality of the fictional serial murderer Today's most famous, a man who at every moment declares his lack of humanity and soul, but as time passes be surprising to know that maybe it has something like feelings.
In case you wondered, this book does not address any case we've seen in the series, but obviously it does have many characters in common, other that never existed in the series and here are important, some are still alive and others are creations of the series.
Very good book that leaves more promising and will definitely be welcome.
