Oscar time again ...
And here we are again, this time in the last hour, the day of the awards. Much thought could not be published. I hope next year to prepare something more complete.
The truth is that I agree that 2010 was a great year for cinema, and there was something for everyone. In Mexico we are in that stage where all the tapes of season awards at last we arrive, so it is sometimes difficult to keep pace with new releases.
Consequently, I regret to inform you that I could not see True Grit, which is a shame, as I begin to consider myself a fan of the Coens. However, I must also confess that the fact that it is a remake or an adaptation of something and also made me a little discouraged when deciding whether to see it or not.
But this post is to give my outlook for the major categories of Oscars 2011, a year in which the categories are more closed than in the past.
Best Soundtrack: Very good shortlist this year, with guarded prognosis, as the trend in this category has been rewarded all that sounds very exotic (suffice it to remember Santaolalla and his unexplained two estatullas), or else go through the most popular (and laughable example awards Howard Shore for The Lord Of The Rings or Up of Giacchino, whom I adore and that it deserved, but not Up , one of less successful work, and less over the great Sherlock Holmes Zimmer). John Powell took everyone by surprise with their great album How To Train Your Dragon , an exciting job and moving at the same time, with Celtic sounds as leitmotiv. Hans Zimmer also meets Inception, but nothing compared to the loftiness of Sherlock Holmes, and although it has interesting elements, it does greatly resemble what has been done with Nolan's Batman. AR Rahman shows his versatility, and after the Academy Award for Slumdog Millionaire, change it to something more bombastic and full of feeling content in 127 Hours. Alexandre Desplat returns with his fourth-consecutive third-in The King's Speech another sublime and precious work of this French which won the BAFTA for this work, and also won the César for The Ghost Writer, while the masses approached Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 1 . Should certainly be the statue, but as Trent Reznor is one popular and left the traditional, to win by The Social Network, but personally I think is the least prominent of the nominees.
Best Adapted Screenplay or Sequel: The Social Network , Aaron Sorkin
Best Original Screenplay: The King's Speech, David Seidler
Best
Actress: One of the most closed categories with three strong candidates: Amy Adams and Melissa Leo, both by The Fighter , and Helena Bonham-Carter The King's Speech. In this case, although again hit Adams in the film Russell, Bonham-Carter is most famous (believe me, that's something to account for the Oscars), and in this case, the popularity of his film also helps, and will win the Oscar, so Adams will have to wait a little longer, but surely one day be yours.
Best Supporting Actor: After the inexplicable, outrageous and stupid absence of Andrew Garfield as the co-founder of Facebook, the battle is two: Geoffrey Rush and Christian Bale. The winner will be Bale because not only plays a drug addict, but once again underwent a stunning physical transformation. Rush has already won, and Best Actor, and even glows in the role of speech therapist in The King's Speech, can not repeat. Note that this category is very bizarre, as the inclusion of Jeremy Renner by The Town is a bit exaggerated, while John Hawkes and Mark Ruffalo no star power, and being in independent films completely kills possibilities.
Best Actress Oscar The more predictable the night is for Natalie Portman, who gives everything in The Black Swan, fascinating and trauma to their counterparts around the world. If something amazing and extraordinary happens, it will be for Michelle Williams. Not so.
Best Actor: This category also seems determined. Colin Firth gave us the year's performance as a man with many challenges to fulfill their role as the most powerful man on the planet, and thus win the Oscar. But most noteworthy is James Franco, who once again demonstrated its reach in 127 Hours, whole acting tour de force which I shall speak, and that in any year will hiubiera man won the coveted gold.
Best Director: another injustice in this category, because the Academy is none to Chris Nolan, when he has been one of the most consistent and successful directors of both critical and box office with Inception fascinated the world, gave all in favor history, he avoids the computer effects, since almost all in situ, and yet seem to appreciate more what makes people like Cameron or Peter Jackson, slaves of green screen and complacency. As in the main category, and as sure we will see throughout the night, it played supremacy The Social Network and The King's Speech . Fincher or Hooper. Close battle in which 3 months ago would have bet on Fincher, but gained strength The King's Speech on his recent release and more popular, it makes me wonder. Either would be a worthy winner, although Fincher may be someone better known, the classical and more accessible Hooper tape could be the deciding factor. On the other hand, we have the historical data of the first nomination for Darren Aronofsky, who's had a long time. BEST FILM
: Despite the stupid idea to increase more than 10 nominees, lowering the prestige of a little over rated this year do not feel nominated as unjust, perhaps with the exception of The Kids Are Alright clichesca and dysfunctional family theme. We begin to see a trend that was seen coming, is that each year almost certainly will see Pixar represented (although Cars 2 I doubt it), this 2011 we have Toy Story 3.
With this format, the historic nomination for Best Film The Beauty And The Beast (1991) as the only animated achieved such a feat had lost its value by nominating a tape so poor, but popular, as Up (2009). So a good way to surprise, and raise the much loved and wanted rating, have been having for the first time two animated feature films in this category for some How To Train Your Dragon 's latest adventure than Woody and Buzz, and that a nomination would not have been misplaced. The other trend that we see each year will see the classic gem independent than ever necessary, only as a recognition of this industry, in 2011 we have Winter's Bone, winner of Sundance, whose premise sounds to me like another great independent Frozen River (2008). 127 Hours is wonderful and I think that would be included in the format of five nominees, that of the Coen seems to me to fill, while Inception and Black Swan are for the rating, given its overwhelming popularity, although it is a good recognition for Aronofsky and Nolan, taking into account what I mentioned of the latter and its relationship with the Academy. So, as we will see throughout the evening, prizes will be divided between T I Social Network and The King's Speech . As I said, long ago bet all the history of the creation of Facebook, but I'm not so sure. The Academy is in the dilemma of creating something fresh and modern as Fincher tape, or something more classic, safe and within your comfort zone. Historically, most have never been so risky in this category, and something tells me that tonight will not either, so I think the tendency of critics awards and the praise initial The Social Network lose strength and The King's Speech win the prize More importantly, even if he wins Fincher and his band, would not be unfair. On this occasion, the Academy has everything to gain.
recap, here are my predictions of the most important categories: Best Soundtrack
: Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross - The Social Network
Best Adapted Screenplay or Sequel: Aaron Sorkin - The Social Network
Best Original Screenplay : David Seidler - The King's Speech
Best Supporting Actress: Helena Bonham-Carter - The King's Speech
Best Supporting Actor: Christian Bale - The Fighter
Best Director: Tom Hooper - The King's Speech
Best Film: The King's Speech

Cocotte of eggs, ham and asparagus, asparagus with cheese sheets Patamulo
I love weekends, especially on Sunday morning, no schedules, no need to go shopping, quiet, breakfast with all the parsimony of the world watching at the window of the kitchen if it rains, if it snows, if you lift the fog finally happy ... well, a way of joining any other breakfast with the food almost without leaving the table. A treat!. I do not always rise with the desire or energy to make something spectacular, do not leave now thinking that my house looks like a buffet of a five star hotel eh? hahaha, but if the occasion deserves it, I can brighten a good way. Today was one of those days, I spent a few days terrible head pains I took the path of bitterness, today after a pill at 5 in the morning I woke up and was fine! If yes, I was a bit scary if it appeared to move for the bloody pain, but no, so after several singing hallelujah, look out the window, releasing a puff of the day so disgusting that I had before me I've been in the kitchen and this is what has emerged, a cocotte of eggs and asparagus and a puff pastry filled with the same ingredients. Two for the price of one, if I am to throw the house out the window lol, this is for the long absence, is my way of compensating for my lack of entries.
to this we have joined an apple juice, Süsssmost, that we love, is very typical here in Switzerland, we bought some time ago blender is a beast if you're not careful - when I see the film I remember the Goonies, the scene Gordy to put him threatened him with his hand in a blender if you do not "sing" all I knew jajajaja, and has his life in verse and a little longer, because with this machine if you neglect it leaves you in a Segundino arm is semi-professional and is specially designed to make the famous apple juice. All who have come home and tested it have been love, which means that when we traveled back home we had to lower the gallons of pasteurized juice !!!!! The King's Speech, by Tom Hooper
The second most celebrated film of 2010 that swept the BAFTA went to Mexico. The King's Speech by Tom Hooper is the story of King George VI England, who had to overcome a speech impediment to lead his nation well, with the help of Churchill during the Second World War.
And so you sell it in the trailers, as a feel-good movie without any complications, but saves much more in its essence.
The King's Speech is a great story that speaks of trusting in our own greatness and listen when others us say, spiced with political overtones of true stories, as well as signs of true love between men and women and between parents and children.
The role will give him his first Oscar, Colin Firth is immeasurable as the man who has always lived with fear, but it feels like little by little the fate is taking a path that does not feel ready to perform. It is incredibly poignant scene in which she confesses those fears to his wife, a job that I personally was not thrilled as any performance from Mickey Rourke in The Wrestler (2008).
Helena Bonham-Carter also does a superb job very probably paid off in his first Oscar (it will be a good match with Melissa Leo The Fighter, but I lean more by Bonham-Carter). Every time we act and interact with King George, we can see in the eyes of the actress a real excitement and love, concern and care. A classic example of the saying "if a little sexist," behind every great man is a great woman. "
Culminating with this great triad, Geoffrey Rush shines as they often do, to become the touchstone for the royal family, a man who is not intimidated with the majestuasidad but focuses more on her work, which takes very seriously and do the best you can. A great success of the script is that it gives nuance to this character could become a cliché, but which end up knowing many vital details that make us discover it is a mirror on a different scale of the king, is king of his household, his children, his wife, all an agent of working class.
As every year, despite the Academy Awards nominees is almost always a matter of two. This 2011 is almost certain that the statue will be for The Social Network, but this film is the second favorite, and if he wins I would be happy, because it is a film to treasure, as the jewels of the Queen's Tower London.

Territory
the top of the batting Mahuida can see the Chilean volcanoes Villarrica and Llaima (both below) that are active and from time to "stick the cry" from the depths of the earth.
Northbound a melt pond in the crater currently off, vegetation and sparkling waters.
Since the route currency the "Rucapillán (Villarrica), keeper of everything that happens in the cozy mountain villages to enjoy (enjoy) indolent tourists. Does anyone would notice the signs to the "escape routes" where now?

But there are signs that announce the proximity of cemeteries or, much less inexorable ways beyond lead. Nobody is talking about the quake
before the announcement of the land. There is a pledge of silence that can not be broken. The fumaroles of Villarrica (the "Rucapillán" of Arauca, which means "house of spirit" or "house of the devil") bold and fun look out, tourists are (were) entranced with accurate shooting, and adventure tours scheduled agencies to the edge of the fire. Pure business, emotion apocryphal, easy and expensive scam, because the volcano does not allow conjugal visits, keeps its treasure of steam and coal only for the supreme moment, in that terrifying climax that never advertised. ----
From the roof of the Andes, in the 1,900 meters from the top of the batting Mahuida ("mountain of the pan" or "inverted mountains"), right on the border between Argentina and Chile and very near Villa Pehuenia, it is possible to make out to 72 miles away the steaming summit of Villarrica (2,840 m), and closer to 42 miles, straight on, the Llaima (3,125 meters) that not long ago was this rain of ash clouded the skies of the region and forced to close airports . The Bats Mahuida
asleep for more than a century (who knows if you can not wake up one of these days?) And formed a crater lake of meltwater, of strange color in the distance. ----
Territory volcanoes. Condors gave us permission to enjoy the skies.

Across Patagonia, the meeting of the waters of the Pacific Imperial
The morning mists obscure the laid-back village that araucanos called 'Conun traytray ed' and Puerto Saavedra is currently on the Chilean coast.
Just at noon the fog and the curtains began to see the sea with all its great length; and the infinite afternoon sun begins to fall in the Pacific.
In the land of the Araucanía, Chile, where the waters of the mighty river flowing into the beaches Imperial Pacific intense original population was called 'Conun traytray co', which in the mapundung means "meeting of waters". He defined the geographic feature name and the generous provision of nature for the good pasture germinated and fed abundant herds of guanacos. Years passed and after the arrival of white men Under the settlement was called Imperial, when the arrogance of Remington set out to corner the former owners of the land by the sea, and later the government of the day it occurred rename and Puerto Saavedra, in honor of Colonel Cornelio Saavedra Rodríguez (grandson of "our" Cornelio Saavedra of questionable performance in the time of the May Revolution) was the author of Indian extermination plan called "Pacification of Araucania".
The reporter came to "Conun traytray ed" on a misty morning in February, following the banks of the Imperial. Just at noon the sea mist curtain ran slightly gray and made visible the hill Maule and beaches, shaken by the relentless waves of the sea that called Pacific Ferdinand Magellan perhaps excessive demonstration Lusitanian humor.
The former fishing village keeps memories of tragic shipwrecks, like the steam 'soldering iron' which sank with 150 passengers returning from a religious pilgrimage on a Sunday in January 1948, but the greatest catastrophe in history occurred on May 21 1960, when a tsunami (after a strong earthquake) literally wiped off the map. 'Conun traytray ed' was abandoned and deserted for nearly a decade, and began actively repopulate the 80, thanks to a government development plan.
currently works as a small colony of summer vacation for the Chileans from Temuco, and other cities Carahue in the area. Nearby is the Salt Lake Budi, whose "mouth" the sea is another interesting point to know. All in the same area of \u200b\u200bmarine landscapes, united by the same gray sky contrasts that dominate the gulls and albatrosses. The reporter noticed
bygone ground vibrations, perhaps as the echoes of the tsunami of 50 years ago, breathed the salty voices of Arauca in the valiant struggle to defend their rights and watched the sun melt into the sea when it is dusk feelings of that day revealing. A look at the other side of Patagonia, a territory of wild beaches.

The Rescue Last rail, with four tracks
confectionery sympathetic Top Mountain Station, Villa Pehuenia, Neuquén, below, an old training, Carahue, Chile, near the suspension bridge President Eduardo Frei.
Down: Two interesting approaches Pablo Narud National Railway Museum, the city of Temuco, Chile, part of the Powerhouse and appearance of the central park.
Below the mouth of income Tunnel west to the Estate, near the Chilean city of Lonquimay, en route to Pine Hachado step. Extension is 4,500 meters below the mountain, is the second longest in South America.
When the travel writer takes out their motivations and sticky topics, such as a backpack full of obsessions. Will the childhood memory linked to the train station I put the question of railways as a recurring theme?
Trip to the Andes of Neuquén, and then a portion of Chilean geography, I found these historic tracks of the railroad, they An annotated and illustrated in a few strokes.
In Villa Pehuenia 125 kilometers of rail Zapala tip, a private businessman made the nice (and expensive) reconstruction of a railway station, which functions as ice cream and confectionery. He carried several freight cars that were recycled as dining cars, tracks and sleepers installed, assembled a valuable collection of railroad ... all in a picturesque corner is worth seeing! (Ah, the ice cream is rich and reasonably priced)
In Carahue, a friendly Chilean city that lies between Temuco and the Pacific, at the foot of the gigantic suspension bridge President Eduardo Frei (which crosses over the rushing waters of the Imperial River), has installed two old railway formations belonging to the State Railways of Chile. An appropriate tribute to the trains lost ... At the same
Temuco (political and commercial capital of the Araucania region) does the National Railway Museum interesting Pablo Neruda (www.museoferroviariotemuco.cl) we visited with high expectations. Is founded on what was the Grand Master Temuco Railroad, a group of buildings (including the giant powerhouse) and maneuvering area, similar to those that existed in areas of the province of Buenos Aires and Remedies Climbing, Bahía Blanca and Carmen de Patagones. In my blog of newspaper (www.perfilesespinosa.blogspot.com) may find the note I wrote about Neruda Museum of Temuco for the daily Noticias de la Costa, where I would let my imagination about a Patagonian Railway Historic Corridor.
Finally, and on the return journey, we chose to cross the mountains by the passage of Pino Hachado (connecting Lonquimay with Las Lajas) and on the route crossed the Roots tunnel, 4.5 km long, used today as road but originally built between 1929 and 1939, for the passage of the train. If you ever have to cross a Chile recommend them know. Four
historical railroad tracks, found in our February vacation.

The mysteries of the Araucaria
know very little about the Araucaria. All we can find on wikipedia (Oh, Goddess of accurate information express!) Will be little when we meet face to face with one of these magnificent specimens of 40 and perhaps even 60 meters tall, who jealously guard the mystery bisexual fertilization so rare among plant and the legend of his longevity. Your generous fruit (the "monkey puzzle" who named the town "Pehuenche" and then corrupted to "Araucaria" and "Araucanian" influenced by the language of the conqueror) natural food provided many generations of the people of the land, and is now attracting curious houses selling souvenirs to tourists. It's been enough to put an end to the systematic exploitation of the resource and thus ended the existence of the elegant "plywood" is industrializing in the U.S. and England, to return to our countries with high added value.

Villa Pehuenia, territory of the Araucaria
Photos: from top to bottom. Pehuén flag and the wind, our refuge in the mountain village, the small port on Lake Alumine that was the view from the bedroom, Dalia and araucaria estimated 700 years old, the view from the Batea Mahuida, Lake Ñorquinco , a pearl semivirgen, and a sunset over the lake Moquehue. Villa Pehuenia
is a corner of the Cordillera del Neuquén, lying on the Alumine Lake, near the Moquehue, at the foot of the volcano Batea Mahuida, which now rests peacefully on the border with Chile. Was wintering site of the Mapuche community, which collected the pinion ("monkey puzzle") resulting from the centuries-old pine and live in peaceful harmony with nature. The flag of the indigenous people is punished by harsh winds, but remains tense and guardian. A cabin in the foliage was the ideal place to rest for 7 days. Long walks and endless sunsets, good reading, notes for a future book chronicles apocryphal, fabric, talks serene mates and tranquility.
